Overview
This half-day First Aid Awards course aims to introduce participants to the concept of mental health, wellbeing and associated illnesses.
Participants will identify and further develop the skills to start a supportive conversation as well as when and how to signpost the person towards professional help.
The minimum age to complete this course is 14. Course numbers are limited to support participants as they learn.

- Why people develop mental health conditions
- Role of a Fist Aider for mental health.
- Providing advice and practical support for a person presenting a mental health condition
- Recognise and manage stress
- Awareness of:

- Self Harm
Qualification
Assessment will take place through guided video conferencing software by professional discussion with the trainer. There is no grading and learners will either pass or be referred.
